Ways to Stay Positive during Coronavirus

While half of the world is struggling with ways to fight the Viral fever that the fatal, deadly CoronaVirus has brought with it, the rest half of the world, is fighting what we call the Cabin Fever.

It may not be easy to be a part of the world which is full of scary, horrible news every day. But this is exactly what makes it even more vital to keep yourself positive. It may be hard but it is still possible.

Before I begin, I’ll ask you to take a deep breath. Unclench your shoulders and your jaws. I’m sure you’ve been holding a lot of stress, a lot of tension and a lot of worries inside your mind, body and soul. Relax. Stretch a little, and listen to the words I have to say.

Tips & Tricks to Stay Positive

I’ll be giving you a few tips and tricks, to keep yourself refreshed, rejuvenated and revived at all parts of the day. A positive attitude towards anything can actually do wonders in your life.

To begin with, look at the brighter side of life. It may be stormy right now. But it is only after the darkest of hours that we see the sunrise, it is only after a few rainy hours that we see the colourful rainbow. Times may be uncertain right now, but they won’t always be this way. Nothing lasts forever. Not even our youthful lives. Neither would this. Soon, and I promise you, SOON, we’ll be out of our hours of darkness. The Corona Virus would be bidding us goodbye soon enough. And if you waste time looking towards the shadows right now, you’ll regret later. So, to keep yourself patient, hopeful and strong, make a list of the things you’re looking forward to. Count your blessings, look around at your family, your friends, and thank the Universe for all its bounties. And I promise you, you’ll be surfing away from the highest of tides, with no troubles.

Also, looking at the brighter side means, completely avoiding the negative. Don’t just put a mask on your mouth and nose, remember to cover your ears against the deadly news as well. Don’t listen to the negative. By paying attention to death, destruction, and devastation, you attract them. Focus on good- health, a lot of wealth, and a life full of joys and laughter. The universe gives you whatever you ask for.

Next, focus on whatever is in your control.  You can’t certainly control the virus from spreading. But you can do your share to protect yourself and your family from it. Do it ! Exercise, eat well, build your immunity and do what is in your control. Meditate every single day for at least a couple of minutes. Connect yourself with nature.

Remember to do what you can. You can’t stop the economy from drowning, but you can look for ways to meet your own monetary needs. Keep your eyes open for opportunities, and seize the day. Joe Girard says, “The elevator to success is out of order. You’ll have to use the stairs. One step at a time.” There may not be a direct route to success but you do have little steps to climb the ladder. Take the first step. Do what you can, and forget about what you can not change.

I’ll also tell you the easiest way to stay happy. Be kind to others and to yourself. In addition to the fatal risks of the coronavirus, everyone’s mental health is at stake too right now. You can help the people around you, by simply being there for them. Be humble, be kind, and be resourceful to the ones who might need your help. You’ll feel a sense of joy like never before. Not just to others, but also stop being hard on yourself. Accept your feelings. If you’re sad, acknowledge it, and then begin focussing on the way to change it. Take charge of your emotions. No one else has the responsibility to cheer you up. As hard as it might sound, you’re the only one who can help you. Remind yourself of the temporariness of everything. It is okay to wake up late on one day, it is okay to not meet the deadlines sometimes, give yourself the space to cheat time. But from the next day, get a hold again. In simpler words, be kind to your heart and mind.

The most important way to make the best of these Covid days, is to give yourself new talent. Learn a new skill. It doesn’t have to be something big. Start small. Learn singing, or try tapping your feet to a new dance form. Learn to cook some delicious dishes. Or do something for your body. Try working out at home, or doing yoga on your terrace. There have been a million things that you have been procrastinating for years now. Lying to yourself that you’ll do it when you have the time. And now is the time. Stop lying to yourself, and learn what you never can. Surprise your friends by speaking a new language after the Coronavirus fear is over. Learn a language! The possibilities are endless. Make a choice.

You, and only you, can take care of yourself. Take the charge and drive the car of your thoughts to a newer, more positive path. Have a positive attitude and fight Corona the right way.
